Lehigh Valley craft spirits aficionados will rejoice to hear that a new distillery opened its doors in the Valley! This old-timey distillery is giving the Valley a glimpse into the past where witchcraft and mass hysteria occurred in Salem, Massachusetts.

Gallow Hills Spirits distillery is telling the story of the Salem Witch Trials from a personal perspective, with witchcraft being in the distillery family’s own past. Their ancestry traces back to a common carpenter convicted of witchcraft named Samuel Wardwell. Ten generations later, the story continues with the distillery’s most noteworthy concoctions. One of the concoctions is named after Tituba, a famous figure from the Salem Witch Trials. Tituba’s Silver, Moonstone Rune, and Soothsayer Vodka are some of the specialties you can try! In addition to the others, a cream liqueur, Chai Milk Punch, is coming soon.

Flowers in the Valley!

Flowers are Blossoming!

Today is the first day of March! We’re getting closer to warmer weather, less snow, and beautiful flowers blossoming across the Valley! What better way start off the season than with an event that celebrates all of Springtime’s beauty? The Lehigh Valley Flower and Garden Show is right around the corner! The event occurs from March 9th – 11th. The Agri – Plex at the Allentown Fairgrounds will be hosting the show. The theme of this year’s floral exhibition is “Fields, Farms, and Backyards”. The show will highlight stunning flower and shrub displays from landscapers all across the Valley! Free seminars by local gardening experts will be given as well throughout the weekend from the best of the Valley! Flower arranging demonstrations, auctions, and flowers for purchase are on deck too.

1980’s Legends Come to the Valley

1980’s Glam in 2018

The Lehigh Valley will be experiencing the 1980’s music scene in all of its glamorous glory this year! Back to the time of long hair, beautiful ballads, and glam makeup. Some of the acts coming to the Valley include Poison, Bon Jovi, Styx, Foreigner, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

Foreigner will be rocking the stage at the Sands Events Center on March 12th. The band is celebrating four decades together on this tour. Another 80’s powerhouse coming to the LHV is Bon Jovi. Classics of the 80’s such as “Living on a Prayer”, “Wanted Dead or Alive”, and “You Give Love a Bad Name” will grace The PPL Center and Rock and Roll fans on May 2nd in Allentown. Joan Jett and Styx will be headlining Musikfest in August. Joan Jett harnesses her incredible stage presence, powerful voice, and “bad reputation”. She previously headlined Musikfest in 2009 and will be returning with her love of rock and roll this August. Jett will be joined on the Sands Stage by 80’s hit maker, Styx. “Come sail away”, “Lady”, and “Babe” are some of their iconic hits. They’ve sold over 20 million albums and will be in Bethlehem joining Joan Jett for a night of Rock and Roll!
